Heyhey!!

This post is for the Nokia Contest

It was a last minute thingy

and i am glad with the result.

=))

I did it while watching a love story

and that is where i got my inspiration!!

This is it.

This contest we were supposed to look at the song tittles

and then came up with the story.

And above is the story.

It's like a love story.

And the thing is i only know one song from the tittle above

that is from SS501!!

Heyhey!!
TGIF!!

Am its July already.

Time really fly fast.

I'm having sore throat for a few days now

and my mum asked me to visit the doctor.

I know its just for a check up

cos she is afraid you know,

i'm infected with it.

As you know,

my school now have 95 cases.

And school is still on.

Some of my classmates have been quarantined

as they went for the talk

and someone there i think

got H1N1.

Class have been ending early

for the pass few days,

3 groups only in the class.

Today,

we received an email

that for our block we can only go

to this particular canteen

and we cannot go the other canteen.

WTH!

First it was our break was shorten

and now the choice of canteen.

The reason is to minimise contact.

Ridiculous.

Just shut the school

if you wanna minimise contact.

Anyway,

on Wednesday,

i went to the National Library and have sakae buffet

with Wei Ling and Yuliana.

As usual Wei Ling was late.

Yuliana and I went ahead first.

And i'm so happy that i found

a few good books there

and the information that i needed to complete

my report.

I find the library really good

only that,

since it is a reference book,

we cannot borrow it.

Therefore,

i gotta photocopy it.

I just hope that i can finish the report by tommorrow

excluding the interviews.

After that,

we went to have sushi!!
It has been some time we plan to eat there.

We ate as many as we could

until everyone is so full.

I don't know why

but the sushi there doesn't taste

as good as i usually eat.

At one time,

Wei Ling picked up a plate

and the sushi straight away drop.

It was really fast

and we were shocked.

That was the sushi that was dropped.

We were full at one time

and decided to have a long talk.

It was good we have that talk.

We shared so many things

and laughed a lot.

I think the aunty who is the waitress

keep asking if we wanna the dessert,

hinting that hello,

you are here long enough.

But we don't care.

After resting for a while,

we started to eat again

and ordered our red plate.

I was full then.

So i just wanted the filling and not the rice.

I just poked it out

and to my horror,

there was a few strain of hair!
I was digusted by it

and told the waitress.

Minutes later,

the manager came

and apologised

and asked if we wanted a new one.

Wei Ling had an idea and asked if we could have

the tempura ice cream!

And the manager agreed!!
Hehe!!

And our free dessert came.

Mochi plus strawberry ice cream too!

I didn't know now they include the strawberry ice cream too!

After that,

we took some pictures!!!

After that we walked around Bugis

and then headed to Central, Clark Quay.

We took some pictures there

and window shop.

After taking a few pictures,

it was home sweet home!!

I enjoyed myself going out with them

and hope we can go out again

sometime soon!!

This post was long overdue.

Wanted to post it up last week

but i waited up for Nabila to send me the pictures.

But there have been problems sending it.

It was my meet up with Nabila last Wednesday!!

It is fun meeting her each time.

I really had a good time with her.

We had lunch at Swensen,

as the offer for one-for-one is still on.

And it's worth it.

I had the seafood platter i think.

I forget the name.

Its fish,squid and chicken.

There was a long queue before we got it

and thank god,

we got in before 2pm,

if not the offer is no more already.

Then we shopped around

for things she wanted to find.

And Nabila always have cravings.

And this time is

Ice cream!!

=)))

I find this shop is affordable.

3 scoops with waffle at $7 plus,

and they gave a lot.

The shop is beside Mos Burger.

If you wanna buy,

don't buy it in a cup

cos it is little.

So yeah, this is what i have been up

to this week & a bit of last week!!

Hope i got to finish my report tmrw

and be flu of H1n1!!

Gosh,

im suffering now in class.

I'm having that time of the month

and it hurts so bad now.

I just wish to go home now

and rest at home.

I feel so weak now

and sleepy.

I hope class will be over soon

so i can head to my bed.

Anyway,

i have not have a proper update.

Everyone is talking about the passing of Micheal Jackson.

But there is so little news about Farrah Fawcett.

Even though both of them died on the same day.

Maybe because one has a greater impact than the other.

I tend to know about Farrah when i watched Entertainment News,

if i hadn't watched it,

i would not know about her.

So that is why i guess there is not much commotion

about her.

FYI,she is the older genearation for Charlie's Angel.

I find it irony that after a person has passed away

then one start to appreaciate them.

Take for example,

the latest one Micheal Jackson.

Now everyone is praising him etc.

But when he is alive,

everyone keep critisize him for whatever reason.

I'm not a fan of Micheal Jackson

but i grew up hearing about it.

When i heard that he died on the radio,

i thought it was a joke,

as i know now he is preparing for a concert.

I couldn't believe my ears when i heard about it.

Anyway,

i just feel that one should just apreciate your loved ones

when they are alive so that you won't regret it

when they are dead.

So if you have not shown someone you loved them,

show it one

as you will never know what tommorrow

awaits you.

It's never too late.

I'm just so pissed with the management of my school!

Now there are 54 cases in RP

and yet Y2 and Y3

still need go school.

It is so ridiculous.

My block has 3 cases

and only those classes who are affected

got quarantine.

Should it be the whole block?

The person who was infected have taken

the lift,toilet etc.

Won't it affect the rest of us?

Will the school be responsible if anyone of us get infected?

I'm not complaining because i want a longer holiday

cos if we were to be quarantine,

we still need to do work,

hand in worksheet,do RJ and wake up at

the same time to take attendence.

So being quarantine needs extra work rather than holiday!

Heyhey!!
This post is for the Nuffnang Contest!!

So,
do read this storyline first.
=)))

For the first picture,
some of you may have difficulties reading it.

It says
"Received an email that I won a prize and
had to collect it at Thomson Road, MCYS. "

So the main point here,

life will be easier if there is wireless anywhere

and everywhere.

For now,

there is no wireless in these places,

Hawker centre

Cafeteria

Waiting Area

And Many more other places.

So the place that I consider having wireless is actually canteen/hawker. To you it is not an interesting place but to me it is.

If there is wireless, I would not have to waste time sitting there (based on the storyline). And having internet in any canteen/hawker is good because many things will happen in a canteen/hawker. For example, there will be people quarrelling and you tend to discover something new about the food there. If the food taste bad or good, I could straight away share it by tweeting it and include pictures.

Maybe when you are buying fruits
and the uncle doesn't want to give you
discounts,
you can take his picture and tweet it.
Hehe.

Heyhey!!

Nuffnang have so many contest going on

and the prizes are getting better and better.

And it is so tempting.

For now there are 3 contest going on so far.

One of it is the Singtel Contest

and the dateline is Sunday.

I have done it halfway,

just a few more and i'm done.

Will post it up on Saturday the lastest.

Another one is the Nokia Contest

which i am thinking on whether to take part,

gonna try to do it in the weekends too.

If i can do it,

i will do it!!

Next is the MTV Blogger Contest.

I'm just trying my luck.

And the thing is hte eligibility age is 21

but so far the entriest send is all below 21 years old

and when i submit it there is no error.

Here is what i wrote.

What do you think of Plus-Sized Models?

And here is my response:

Just look at the title and everyone will have this mindset that they will be looking at some digusting figure which will make them lose thier appetite. They either going to critize these ladies or just going to laugh at them.

Everyone should look at plus sized models in a different way.They are still like others,human beings and have feelings too.

Plus size model are special in a way.Because they have the confidence that other people do not have.They know that when they model,they will faced many obstacles and challenges but they still persevere.

Take for example,Jordin Sparks,the former American Idol.She used to be a plus sized model and now a singer.Some love her and some hate her but now she is a big star regardless of what size.You can see her happiness and confidence when she is on stage.

It is difficult to find these kind of ladies now in the modern world becayse everyone is so concern with thier weight and look and some even went to the extreme to look like a size 0 model.Through the process,if something goes wrong or they cannot achieve what they want,worst come to worst,depression will turn into suicide.Thse shows that they have no confidence at all.

I am not saying that looking good is wrong but there should be a limit to it.If you think you can achieve it,then it is good but you cannot,you have to just accept it.

I am a plus sized myself and i really respect and salute these plus size models because they have the confidence other does not have.I feel that media has a part to play in changing the mindset of people on how they view plus sized models.

Plus sized or small sized models - they are still human beings.Confidence is the key!

Heyhey!!

As promised this is the part 2 of the wedding!
Sunday..
The day of the wedding.

The day starts around 9 am
where it is the time for the bride and groom
to say the "I do".
I only remember it in malay.
In malay it is called Nikah.

It was held at the void deck

as there is not much space at my grandma's house.

The groom is in red.

At the table,

there is my uncle at left side and my grandfather

who is the witness from the bride side

and the others from the groom side.

Also the person who is going to make

the marriage an official.

Like in church,

you will have someone to say like

you may kiss the bride etc.

It was the first time i heard this ceremony being done in English.

My aunt on the dais.

Ain't she pretty?

Saying all the religious stuff etc.

Can you see all this paparazi?

Everyone pulling out thier camera to capture

this wonderful moment.

These are the gifts.

Left hand side is from the bride to the groom and vice versa.

The groom meets the bride

and kiss the bride.

My grandma started to cry and it made me have tears in my eyes too.

I cannot see people cry cos it will make me cry too.

It is time for the groom and bride to pay respects to the parents!

Very emotional and my grandma started to cry again.

And my aunt cried too.

End of first half of the ceremony.

Next is the 2nd part of the ceremony.

In the afternooon.

People start to come at around 11 am.

And it is so buzy and i was incharge

of giving goodies to the children

but there was so little children

that most of the time i sat

and walked around.

The exciting part is around 1.30

where the groom came again.

The kompang team had to standby near the car to

like accompany the groom alongside playing the kompang.

And i had to hold the bunga manngar

which is supposedly to be carried by guyz.

But my cousins and brother are no where to be seen

and it resulted me and my cousin which

is also a girl to hold it.

I think it is the first time a girl is carrying it.

I was so paiseh cos i don't know what to do

and have no clue.

I followed the cue from the uncle and was nervous.

The loud kompang group makes me even more nervous.

And when i was at the block,

the bungga mangga was stuck.

And it took me some time to make it bad.

If you wondering what is bunga mangga,

you can search it.

=)))

After that,

it was time for the groom to face some obstacles

before getting to meet the bride.

It was so funny,

it is similar to the Chinese wedding

where the groom have to faced some obstacles

before meeting the bride.

I only get to capture this as before that i was

holding the bungga mannga,

this is the part where the event organiser tries to block

the groom from entering.

And this is when the groom have to faced the last one by the make up artist.

At last,

they meet!!
=)))

After that,

a mini silat performance.

Then it was the final performance for the kompang team.

Then it was photo takming time!!

I didn't take picture with the newly weds this time.

The final part of the day.

It was the reception.

At around 5.30.

Change of outfit

and i wore a dress.

And i was supposed to sit beside the bride.

One of the decorations at the wedding table.

The furry thingy,

makes me difficult to eat.

The flowers are real though.

Outfit for the reception.

She really look good in every outfit she wore.

Never see her so so so pretty.

That is why they say when

it is your wedding,

you look like a princess!!

Time to cut the cake.

There is a small cake on top

and cupcakes a few level.

This is like a cake

but actually it's glutinous rice which is made like a cake.

My aunt want to have both tradiotional and western

and that is why there is 2 version of 'cakes'.

This is the part which make me nervous.

Sitting at the table with the newly weds.

As the table is facing the other,

i have to watch what i eat and hopes nothing will fly out the plate.

Hehe.

I really learn new things from this experience

and am really happy about it.

I can't wait to see the other pictures and vidoes!!

Heyhey!!
The wedding is over

and it's time to update my blog.

I'm really exhausted and my back is aching.

Hehe.

But still,

i enjoyed myself.

So today,

im gonna update on

what happen on Saturday

then maybe tommorrow

update on the wedding day

which is on Sunday!!
=)))

Saturday is the day

where we all have to do the last minute preparation.

And touch up on the things.

Aunts and uncles,cousins

come and rush around

here and there

to do all the work.

My aunt had to do the henna

on her hand and feet.

This is before it had dried.
And

this is after effect

which it has dried.

Nice right?

And it takes like an hour to dry.

After all that,

we all came down to help out

and also eat.

As some people cannot come on Sunday,

some came on Saturday.

Therfore,

there is some buffet being served.

The food is quite nice

and the company with

my uncles,cousins and aunties

make it even better.

See how cute my uncle and cousins!

Hehe!! ;)))

As the night comes along,

more and more people come.

And more work is being done

as we had to clear the tables etc.

Anyway,

i love the decorations being done

for the wedding.

Isn't it nice and i'm so in love with it.
i love the curtain and the chandalier.
I don't know but
i have been eyeing for this curtain
since the first time i set my eyes on it
and want it to be in my room
when we have a new house.
Hehe.

Today is the day my aunt is getting married!!
And i'm so happy for her!!
I hope everything goes well today
and will try to take as many pictures as i can.
If possible,no guranttee though.

I'm actually nervous.
I'm like the bride's maid during the reception.
So scared that i will make any mistake and stuff.
Wish me good luck.

Anyway,
Happy Father's Day
dedicated to my Grandfather who has been
taking care of me since young,
shower all the love on me
and giving me support.
I love you
and appreciate all the things you have done for me.
I hope i can repay all the things you have done for me.
=)))

TGIF!!!
Yeah no school,

no RJ,

no test

and no more stress!!
Like finally!!

=)))

This week has been a roller coster to me.

So many thing is happening.

And plus UT which is so

difficult and the system keep jamming

here and there!

School has been tough now.

I am afraid that i cannot catch up

and sometimes feel i am useless.

I feel lost halfway

and tend to give up easily.

Had a talk with Ratna just now

about further studies

and i'm glad we had some things clarified with her.

And i feel that i chose the wrong course,

maybe.

But i'm going to work towards it

and achieve my dream.

I'm trying my best to overcome

the obsctacles i faced

and hope it will soon be gone.

:))

And yes i finish my RJ already

which i hope can score me an A or B.

Hopefully.

Oh ya let me share my experience

of living in my house alone yesterday night.

I slept in my house alone last night.

It was my first time.

My brother and mum went to sleep over

at my grandma house to help

prepare the wedding which is this coming Sunday.

Since there is no internet there,

i gotta be at my house to do RJ and stuff.

By the time i finished it,

i was lazy to go there

and thinking of my journey from school to there,

makes me feel relectant to go there.

My mum asked me if im okay staying alone

and i said yeah.

I was kind of excited as my first time doing it.

I just imagined that it is like in the day

and it does not make me scared.

Also my house is very small.

If my house is big,

i think i will be scared.

I am the person who has difficulties sleeping,

so i switch on the tv to let my eyes tired

and so it's easy for me to sleep.

If i didn't do that,

i will think of something else

and alas will make me scared.

I feel it is a good experience.

Hehe.

If i were to stay like this,

i would prefer to have a friend though

so i can talk to someone.

Gosh,

I'm so stress now.

When i started doing my UT just now,

i don't know why my mind just went blank.

And it does not help with the questions

that is so complicated.

I'm really scared now.

This is not a good start to the new term.

I think i can say goodbye to my GPA being 3.0.

:((

This week has been test after test.

And i think the only UT i got a bit of confident

is media writing,

while the rest i think

i will do badly.

I am so afraid that i will fail this semester

as my daily grades ain't that great either.

Enough of this depressing topic,

on a happier note,

there is 3 more days left to my aunt's wedding.

I'm heading to my grandma house soon

right after doing my RJ and updating this blog.

Time is very limited right now.

And i gotta rush.

I'm still thinking on what hairstyle should i do

on Sunday for the reception in the evening.

Any ideas to give me?
